Apatite is usually green in color, but can be yellow, brown, blue, purple, pink, or colorless. These colors are often so vivid that apatite has frequently been cut as a gemstone.

Apatite is a brittle material, it breaks by both fracture and cleavage. However at Gemrock Peru we have stabilizing methods which enable us to cut this material and provide you with amazingly beautiful products. Although the amounts of apatite being mined are still small we will be able to produce palmstones, hearts, and other products from bigger apatite pieces.

Apart of the massive amorph apatite used for bigger decor products we are able to provide you with the natural tubular apatite crystals in four size and quality classes. These crystals have a white crust and inside they do display a very uniform green that is perfect for jewelry production.

Apatite Crystals Mini Size

Length of the crystals ranges from 5 mm to 13 mm

Apatite Crystals Small Size

Length of the crystals ranges from 15 mm to 26 mm. The can be longer than the next size class but they always will be less thick.

Apatite Crystals Regular Size

Length of the crystals ranges from 15 to 20 mm but they are considerably thicker than the previous size class and could be used for cutting small cabochons.

Apatite Crystals Premium Size

Large and thick crystals for mineral collectors and gemcutters. Length reaches more than 30 mm.

Apatite Premium Gemcutting Material

Fragments of very large crystals with a very robust and little fractured crystal mass, as well as an even coloration. Up to 3 cm large and perfect for a great variety of jewelry models.
