In 2021, Gemrock Peru started mining Black Tourmaline in the desert mountains of Lima province.
We therefore can provide you with rough rock and carved products in any quantity and we can guaranty the quality standard of our cutable rough material.
We can also provide you with rough tourmaline pieces in different sizes in packages of half a kilo or a kilo for energy and healing purposes.
Tourmaline is a crystalline boron silicate mineral compounded with elements such as aluminium, iron, magnesium, sodium, lithium, or potassium. The most common species of tourmaline is schorl, the sodium iron member of the group. It may account for 95% or more of all tourmaline in nature.
The early history of the mineral schorl shows that the name “schorl” was in use prior to 1400 because a village known today as Zschorlau (in Saxony, Germany) had a nearby tin mine where black tourmaline was found.
Our rough material has top quality for cutting purposes. It is hard and not sandy and can be cut and polished without breaking.
